In data world, data management and data governance are used quite frequently. Sometimes, it is confusing as there are many overlapping processes between these two bigger data umbrellas.
You can not govern something which is not well managed ; neither you can manage something which is not governed well. So Data management and Data Governance have to go hand in hand. Data management is more of a technical process while Data Governance is more more business focussed.
There is no clear demarcation which falls into data management and what falls into data governance, I am trying to give a generic guideline.
